On January 24th and 25th, 2025, the only Lithuanian winter rally festival – “Biorina Winter Rally Rokiškis” – will triumph in the Rokiškis region. Rokiškis will invite racers and spectators who are missing of the cold, snow, ice and snowbanks to one of the most unique events in the cold season – race at breathtaking speeds on the frozen gravel roads of Northern Lithuania.
The speed on the icy roads is guaranteed by special winter tires with hundreds of long spikes, which make it possible to drive on an extremely slippery surface with a very good grip. However, part of the competition takes place after dark, which makes this whole spectacle of speed, sound, and light unforgettable for participants and spectators alike. Rally fans can admire glowing red brake disks, powerful auxiliary headlights and flames from the exhaust pipes of the cars, all accompanied by the roaring sounds of the cars. For the racing drivers, on the other hand, it is a test of maximum concentration and cooperation, as there is no room for mistakes during the high-speed night flight.
On January 24, participants will complete the administrative tasks while their sports cars will be checked by the scrutineering, and the rest of the day will be spent on the reece of 5 unique special stages.
On January 25, Saturday, the participants will have time to sleep before a really long and intense day. All residents of Rokiškis are invited to gather at Sajūdžio Square at 10:30 am and greet the rally participants on their journey. At 20:00, the Biorina Winter Rally Rokiškis competition will be crowned with an award ceremony on the same square.
Crews have to complete 8 special stages, 5 of which are unique, consisting of 51,69 kilometers of best winter roads. Total rally mileage will be 192,40 km. The participants of the Lithuanian Automobile Rally Sprint Championship will gather for this fastest winter festival, and they will be joined by a group of guests from other Lithuanian automobile rally championships and from abroad.
The battle promises to be fierce, the views will be impressive and the atmosphere great, so get your gear and thermos ready – let us meet in Rokiškis at the end of January!
During the “Biorina Winter Rally Rokiškis”, wristbands (tickets) can be bought at the entrances to the special stages. The event is free for children under the age of 12. The ticket price is 10 Eu.
